Resizing Text
Most browsers allow you to increase or decrease the size of the text in our website, as well as other built in accessibility tools.
• Internet Explorer 7
From the menu bar underneath the search field, select Page and point to Text size. You should have the option to select from a range of text sizes to suit your needs.
• Google Chrome
From the menu bar in the top right corner, select either ‘+’ or ‘-‘ next the the Zoom option. This will increase or decrease the size of off the content on this page, and the next pages you visit.
• Other browsers (PC)
To zoom in, hold down the CTRL key and press ‘+‘
To zoom out, hold down the CTRL key and press ‘-‘
• Other browsers (Mac)
To zoom in, hold down the Command Key (CMD) and press ‘+‘
To zoom out, hold down the Command Key (CMD) and press ‘-‘
‘Talk Text’ (Dictation)
Most modern operating systems offer, among other accessibility tools, a text dictation service.
• Windows (most recent versions)
Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button, clicking Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking ‘Narrator’. You will then need to follow the instructions given.
• Mac
In your browser, click Edit, then click Speech, and then Start Speaking. You computer should then read everything on the screen.
